30th Anniversary Luncheon Recap

Neighborhood Home Solutions (NHS) celebrated its 30th anniversary on September 8, 2010 at the Mahaffey Theatre during a luncheon in the Grand Ballroom.

Mayor Bill Foster was the keynote speaker; the Mayor proclaimed Wednesday, September 8, 2010 Neighborhood Home Solutions Day in the City of St. Petersburg and called upon all residents to join with the Mayor in congratulating Neighborhood Home Solutions on 30 years of “transforming communities and creating lifelong homeowners…one family at a time.”

Former Mayor Randy Wedding (current Vice Chair of the NHS Board of Directors) emceed and was chair of the event. Rev. Curtiss Long, Pastor of New Faith Free Methodist Church gave the invocation. Shirley Miaoulis of Congressman Bill Young’s office and Nikki Capehart of Congresswoman Kathy Castor’s office read letters of congratulation and support for the for the dedicated staff seeing that families become homeowners by “providing affordable housing and homeownership solutions for individuals and families”.

Testimonials were given by Client, Kamaroon Boykins and Partner, Attorney Juanita Carroll of the Community Law Program attesting to the foreclosure prevention work of NHS.
