Catherine will have a more enjoyable Holiday Season this year. She came to us last summer worried that her rent was due to increase in September 2024. Catherine lives on a fixed income, so any change in her financial picture affects her.

Having attended the Homebuyer Education class facilitated by Neighborhood Home Solutions at the Hope Expo in June 2024, Catherine had some knowledge of the homebuying process. However, realizing the need for down payment assistance, she was looking for guidance in purchasing her first home. She met with Neighborhood Home Solutions HUD certified counselor, Rosemary Galeas, and chose one of our lending partners Bank of America where she was approved for a mortgage.

Now her monthly payment is almost $250.00 less than her previous rental amount.
